This document briefly outlines new features and enhancements that have been added to the StuffIt Expander package.  For more detailed information and instructions please read the file titled “StuffIt Expander™ Read Me” located in the “Read Us First!” folder in the StuffIt Expander 5.0.2 Folder on your hard disk.

  5. StuffIt Expander 5.0.2
  6. StuffIt Expander 5.0.2 has been enhanced to allow for expansion of a wider variety of BinHex files, to correct a bug in the password dialog for encrypted archives, and to provide greater support for the expansion of archives created on Kanji systems.
  7. For users of Internet Config, we have updated the File Mappings to correctly recognize all versions of StuffIt archives.

  10. StuffIt Expander 5.0.1 was never released publicly.

  13. StuffIt Expander fully supports Aladdin's new platform-transparent archive compression format as well as all previous StuffIt formats.

  15. StuffIt Expander also supports the new MacBinary III standard used in MacOS 8.5.  We have worked closely with developers of this encoding format to ensure that StuffIt Expander maintains its industry leadership.

We have brought electronic registration via the Internet to StuffIt Expander.  Simply double click the "Register StuffIt Expander™" icon in your StuffIt Expander 5.0.2 Folder and you can register electronically!  Registered users are entitled to technical support, upgrade notices, and special offers on Aladdin products.  Do it now!
